17 Month OPT (Optional Practical Training) – Coming Soon.

I had discussed in detail about when to graduate to avoid H1B to OPT Gap Issues. But, looks like students will no longer need to work about the Graduation date if 17 Month Optional Practical Training rule proposed is approved.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association is reporting that USCIS has sent an interim final rule to the Office of Management and Budget that would expand from 12 to 17 months the period of time F-1 students can have for optional practical training. this is a helpful website, my question is, I graduated with my BSN started working under my opt, no one to do H-1b I am back in school as a graduate student. Can I apply for cpt even though it is my first sementer.
