This is Krishan .I am graduated from JNTU in CSE and i secured 56%
with 13 backlogs.I wrote Gre in sep 2011 i got 282(quant 148+verbal 134). I wrote tofel and i didn’t qualified in that now i am planning for
IELTS.Is this Gre score is sufficient can i retake .

I feel that this is suitable to my profile. Could You please respond my question .I confusing with this .If i will go for visa is my Btech makes the problem.

If it makes the problem. I will change to UK..

Re-take GRE

13 backlogs could be equalized by High GRE, TOEFL and Projects.

Retake GRE to improve your chances.

If you don’t want to take GRE again, then you can try other countries like Germany or UK and find programs that doesn’t require GRE.

If you do plan to take GRE test again, refer to GRE Experiences.

  9. 1. Having a great GRE score is always better and will give you at least a chance to showcase that, at least one of the scores is really good in your profile. That necessarily does not compensate for your other low scores.
    2. For Admission, sent out consolidated mark sheets, if possible one per semester and a one sheet transcript. Dont think that, you are hiding anything here. If a university really requires your detailed marks sheets, they will ask you again, once you have submitted the application packet and you can re-send all the mark sheets accordingly.
    3. Make a strong SOP. It should be so good that, it should give positive feel and that you achieved something exceptional in-spite of so many odds in your profile..
    4. Have good strong Recos.
    5. If you have all that, i am sure you will still have a chance to crack an admission, but what are you going to do with it or how r u going to make use of it is left to you.
    6. If an admission USA was your ambition, do not settle down for anything less or any other country. You still have an opportunity to make use of try to crack it. You should be determined/dedicated enough to make sure that, you get want you really want to, and yes it is possible of-course dont even think of applying for some top schools…. coz u know whats going to happen.

    Thanks,
    Abhilash

    • yap, Abilash is right. I would like to advice vishal to concentrate on finding some low rank university than jumping in to other countries/official tracks that may always tear you if you are craving to pursue your degree in usa. focus on it, pray to Almighty and refine your qualities to be presentable.

  10. what i feel is 13 backlogs is not a problem,

just consolidate your marks card and you will have one…

Dont mention everywhere that you have 13 back 13 back 13 back….

instead you have to present that as I have completed engineering..

just tell you have engineering degree.

In european countries the job market is very tough now… and cost of living is very expensive and climate is very cold, consider this also before you take europe…

Good thing in country like germany is education is free of cost… :
