Very Funny. A VP doesn’t get these intro salary in nyc and facebook (nothing except privacy seller) is offering this price for DEVELOPER. Comon use common sense. maybe 20+ exp person could offered this.
Lets talk about Navin’s comments first
Its not just Navin, several others could have had the same question. When someone gets high paying job, typically we are trained to think that such high paying jobs are reserved only for cream of the society and students from top colleges.
What about Adil’s Comments
Blog post on Facebook salary clearly says – Its Entry Level Salary.
This is clear ignorance. For folks who are in software field will think VP as someone very high in the company structure.
I’m assuming, Adil is referring to VP title in a Bank (like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sacs, etc)
Here is a news for you.
VP position in Bank structure is equivalent Manager position in a typical software company.
You have to realize one more thing about Salary and Job Title.
Being Manager doesn’t means Developers Salary cannot be higher than a Manager’s salary.
