average gre scoresAverage GRE scores for grad schools for U.S. Universities and graduate school is the most  common search term used by students trying to find universities to apply. I personally have gone through the university selection process and I know how tough to select graduate school based on your GRE test Score.

Average GRE scores for Grad schools

It’s very hard to find the Average GRE scores  for Grad School at one single search or minimum GRE scores required for admission for each department and college.

But, some universities list the average GRE test scores of students admitted in previous semesters. Lets look at average GRE and Revised GRE Scores for various departments in few selected universities in USA below.

Average GRE Scores – University List

I have started writing about Average GRE Scores for various universities. Here to name a few

Average GRE Scores

It’s a huge mistake to start searching for grad schools only based on Graduate Record Exam Scores or GRE Cutoff score. There are so many other factors that are considered along with GRE scores for graduate school admission. But, having said that, I’m sure, students want easy way to find the universities based on their academic profile and GRE score.

I have seen students search for Good GRE scores for admission. That will give an idea, but average gre scores will give an perspective into each college and universities.

With Revised GRE, few schools have listed both Test scores that are accepted. You can also refer to Old GRE to Revised GRE Score Conversion

Not all universities list the minimum or average GRE of admitted students. If university website doesn’t list the score requirements, you can send email to department and ask for the score requirements.

    • Hi Sucheta,
As you plan to publish papers in research journals, this will definitely improve your admission chances manifold. As of now Virginia Tech seems to be a little competitive. Rest of the Universities are manageable in terms of your admission chances. For University suggestions kindly post the details in forums section.
      Good Luck!
