The Real ACT – Red Book Review

As a full-time test prep tutor, I know that students who take several real practice tests do better than those who don’t. Unfortunately, the previous edition of this book only included three tests – so I was happy to see this edition includes five. Take all five of these tests, and you’ll be familiar with what the ACT will throw at you on test day. However, don’t expect the ACT to give you insightful advice about its own test in the answer explanations – those explanations are usually convoluted and technical. – Amazon Review

This is must have and best ACT prep book 2013 with 5 practice tests.

As the reviewer wrote, you will not get strategies in this book, but the practice tests will give same feel as Real ACT Test.

Here is another book for ACT practice tests – Barron’s 6 ACT Practice Tests

Cracking the ACT Book Review

This is a very good review book that covers in-depth topics, general refreshers, and provides some strategies that help you manage your time. The strategies it provides are pretty effective and really help you make your way through the test faster. The book is worth the price for the strategies alone. (from amazon).  Cracking the ACT

The English cards gave him a step by step approach to identifying all of the grammar errors encountered on the ACT; the Math cards delivered a complete range of formulas and strategies for mastering the math section. In addition, the test tips and tools are complete and on target.

Another student found that the Science cards not only gave him the information he needed to excel on the science section, but also helped him diminish his test anxiety. I would highly recommend this product!
