I’m taking AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics courses. I wanted to know which is the best book for Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. I was thinking about the Princeton Review or Barrons. Which is better and any suggestions?
Best AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics Books
Here are Best Books for AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics
Bought this book to use along with my AP Macro class. I did both of the practice exams in the back of the book and scored a 5 on the in class final. I highly recommend this book.
Includes : Fundamentals of Economic Analysis * Demand, Supply, Market Equilibrium, and Welfare Analysis * Elasticity, Microeconomic Policy, and Consumer Theory * The Firm, Profit, and the Costs of Production * Market Structures, Perfect Competition, Monopoly, and Things Between * Factor Markets * Public Goods, Externalities, and the Role of Government * Macroeconomic Measures of Performance * Consumption, Saving, Investment, and the Multiplier * Aggregate Demand and Aggregate Supply * Fiscal Policy, Economic Growth, and Productivity * Money, Banking, and Monetary Policy * International Trade.
I have used several editions of this review book and have found that my students liked it and actually used it! It contains 2 practice exams for Macro and 2 for micro. More importantly, the answers are EXPLAINED in careful detail in the review guide. In many others, students are left to their own devices to figure out why the correct answer is right. Coverage is complete and the author served as the Chief Reader for AP Macro/micro for years so David Anderson really knows his stuff. (Amazon review)
