If you are applying for Masters Degree in US Colleges and Universities, here is a list of documents you need to prepare and send it along with the application package.
- Graduate School Application (Online or Paper)
- If submitting Application Online, send confirmation page
- Application Fee ( if paying by check or draft)
- Letters of Recommendation
- Statement of Purpose
- Resume [ Resume - India vs US ]
- Bank Statement
- Financial Affidavit
- Transcripts
- First and Last Page of your Passport
- Copy of GRE and TOEFL Score Report
- Extra Curricular Certificates
- Portfolio (if any)
- Abstract of your research paper and projects
- Index Page of Documents
Some of you might argue, it’s not required to send copy of GRE and TOEFL score report, but it’s good idea to send 2 additional pages. It’s not going to cost you much, eventhough universities require scores to be forward by ETS.
So, if you think above list is missing some documents, leave a comment below. Also, if you any questions on how to send the above documents, let us know, more instructions can be included here.
You can get access to Flow Chat for Fall and Spring admission timeline from the Students Guide to USA [ Ebook] if you subscribe to free newsletter.

I have done IELTS and my I-20 is about to come, but I don’t have my GMAT score yet, it is not the requirement of the university. Do I need this score to get the F1-visa.
Hi Imran, As you have been offered admission without GMAT scores you don’t need the scores for visa processing. Carry appropriate documents mentioning, GMAT scores were not asked for admissions by the concerned University.
For visa you need an admission offer. You can mention there was’nt any GMAT score requirement for the specific programme.
All the best!

But i want you to shed some light on opportunities in USA for undergrad students in India(eg- internships, research projects etc.) as these would add a lot of weightage to our application.

I have a doubt regarding the checklist.
Is it mandatory to send 10th and 10+2 score cards ?
If yes, should we send it in a sealed and attested cover.
Thank you in advance

Would it be worth to send blood donation certificate along with application packet
There is nothing wrong in sending that, but include some info about your philanthropy work in SOP.
