How long will USCIS accept H1B Applications for 2010?

I applied for H1b visa through an employer. Got receipt number by Apr 23, 2009. Still the online status it says case received and pending. I am worried.
Now I wish to apply again through another employer.My doubt is :
How long will USCIS continue to accept H1B applications for 2010?
Will they stop accepting after OCT 1st or do they still accept until the quota finishes?

I need your help if anyone is in the same situation. I sent my application thru Premium Processing on August 24th, it arrived August 25th (via Fedex). I haven’t got my Receipt Notice Yet!! I am freaked out because It’s already one week but not heard from USCIS. Is this still Ok and I should receive it soon? How long does it take to get a receipt from them? should it take 15 days from the receipt notice date? Please help!!

My visa application was sent in Aug 26 by my employer. With premium processing.
Haven’t heard anything yet. When do you think I will get the approval? Anybody else that has sent in the application with PP late Aug?
I thought that the rush for visas was over and that uscis now had ability to process faster.
Any thoughts?
I have the same situation here. I sent it late August thru Premium Processing, but haven’t received my receipt notice yet. I constantly checking the website but no updates from them. Did you receive your receipt # already?

When the USCIS will finish the process of all the pending for approval staus Visas and start the interview process.My status is still pending for approval.

The deadline is Oct 1st no matter the quota is filled or not.
Since you have a receipt number, your employer can call and get details about your case, they can call the customer service. It should be either some one from HR or senior manager.

Do you have any information on the latest cap count?
Is it still 45 000 recieved applications for the general qouta?
