I have got DV Visa of 2012 successfully and planning to go US at the end of 2012 and get settled in Los Angeles. I want to study as well as earn money. Is it possible? How can I do it? I am teaching Mathematics teacher in grade 8, 9, and 10 in Nepal. My educational qualification is B.Sc., Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Management and going to complete M.Ed. in educational management very soon. Do I have extra privilege as DV Visa owner? What are they? What kind of job do I get there?
I have GRE score of 308 (148 (v) + 160 (q) ) and Toefl 105. My aggregate is 84% with GPA 3.8 in Aeronautical Engineering and i have 5 paper publications out of which one is international, one winner in the competition. I have participated in various workshops out of which 3 are from IIT. I did projects outside the curriculum out of which one is with NASA (under grad design competition). I like to continue my MS in aeronautical engineering but i dont mind shifting to mechanical. What are the universities i should look out for?

I am really confused about selecting the universities for my profile please help me getting out of this trouble . I have researched alot on internet and got only these 2 universities

1.universities of Texas ,Arlington
2.san diago state university
3.university of north texas
4.university of taylor etc.

I know VO are not going to take this answer. Please help me how to improve and chnage my way of answering them in the next interview which is end of this month. It would be of great help.

B.Tech-63.5%(5 backklogs)…the question is…I have studied in JNTU,Anantapur affiliated college…As per University rules…every student has to leave 2 subjects inspite of whether he is passed or failed…so i am failed in 1 subject and could not clear it…i am leaving 1 subject..i m going to get my degree..and totally it is 5 backlogs including that one…now the question is What are my chances of getting admission in US/Canada Universities…Will it be ok if I get good GRE and TOEFL score or will this effect me.? Or shall I go for a job and get experienced for 1 or 2 yrs and then go for MS? Please replyy me as early possible so that I can start preparation for GRE and TOEFL..thanqq soo much in advance..waiting for ur replyy frnss..

My friend was interviewed today for F1 visa at Delhi embassy. He was quite confident you can say. But He got rejected for his visa. He went well with all his interview but when it came to make a decision by consulate, He was said at last ” You are too young,so I can not issue you a visa.”
In fact he is 19 and he had applied for Undergraduate program. Can someone please let me know if this a genuine rejection.

I am a mechanical engineer(2011 passout) from INDIA.I have graduated from a Anna university affiliated engineering college.Now,I am working as a Mechanical Design Engineer(R&D) in wind turbine manufacturing company.I am an aspirant to go to US.I got 1160(Quants-780 & English-380) in GRE and 6.5 in IELTS.I am having aggregate of 72% ,But i had a backlog in Heat and Mass Transfer.I am working in Design using Pro-E.And I want to improve my knowledge in CAD & CAE.Please suggest some universities which suits my profile
For getting a direct admit to Ph.D. they expect research experience and Papers if published would be of high value.
Also think about Canadian Universities where the probability of getting scholarship is high compared with US.
As far as GRE is concerned, it is mostly kept as a cut off criteria and more emphasis would be on your CGPA, Research Experience, internships and Papers for Ph.D.
