A warm hello to everyone and the interaction on this blog.It has really been quite helpful to fellow aspiring students.
I graduated in 2009 and since then i have been working at different intervals alongside managing family life, been a mother.
My desire to pursue graduate studies in the USA recently became a closer look as procedures to achieve this has been going cool.Until this recent stage of Applying for the Visa.I currently reside in the EU, which is not my home country.
When i had my i20 i went ahead and applied for the visa here not knowing about what was really involved, But at the interview the Vo told me that he really cant decide on my case because my supporting bank document are from my country because my sponsor hails from my country. And he also added that i don’t prove strong ties to the country of resident, as such advised that i can reapply for a visa in my country.
I am currently in my county and i have been trying to secure a date for interview to no avail.
I am worried because the arrival date on my i20 is 24th August, at the moment i have the option of applying for expedited appointment but one condition is that the person must not have been rejected a visa within the last 12months.
Does anyone think i can be given a chance to this expedited interview? and do i also have a chance to grab the visa .How can i prove this ties now that am back to my country to reapply.?
I would appreciate your comments. – Sybil

IamaStan, what really happened is they are away that I was refused a visa in my home country obviously…now I can’t apply an expedite appointment..wat I wanna know is,is there any other option to this, cos I have to go latest September
You mean your family members are in some other countries and you applied for A F1 Visa from some other country
Why not you will surely get the visa . Just say them you had your sister wedding in EU so you couldnot return back to your country So you applied from there instead of coming to your home country or You can say you werent aware that applying for student visa from other country is not a best option for you ….
Am also involved in the same situation thanks for bringing it up…we will appreciate anyone who can help out…thanks
