F1 Visa Interview Experience

At first there was a little tension, one of the vo a lady in her late twenties was just rejecting applicants and nobody wanted to go to her window, next thing I knew she called me to come for my interview,it was short but took forever and it goes like this.
vo:good morning,nice suit
me:thank you madam,good morning.

vo:let me have your passport and i20
me:i gave it to her and tried to remain calm while maintaining eye contact and she starts to type on her computer.

vo:why do u want to go to the US
me:the united states has a global reputation for quality academic programs, state of the art research facilities and also you will find the world finest faculty members teaching in united states universities.

vo:i can see you are going for masters in engineering/industrial management
me:my school calls it technology management but SEVIS calls it engineering/industrial management.

vo:ok.so what can you tell me about technology management?
me:how to apply technology wisely to create wealth in an industry or society.

vo:why did you choose that particular school?
me:the curriculum at the university of xxxx places more emphasies on practical experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.

vo:ok.let me see your gre scores
me:at this point i started looking for my gre scores, she was very impatient and asked me to just pass the whole documents along with my transcripts.she took her time went through my toefl, gre, undergraduate transcripts and also high school results and started typing very fast fast on her computer again.

vo:you graduated in 2006,what have you been doing since then?
me:I have been working with xxx company as a systems admin.

vo:who is sponsoring you?
me:my father, I also have a bank balance for my support can i show you?

vo:I am sorry but dont get this the wrong way(my heart starts to beat fast,i thought she will deny me a visa),most of the bank statements i see are forged,I dont want to see anything that will annoy me this morning so just keep it.

vo:what are your plans after graduation?
me:my country is still at the developing stage,a lot of projects that support technological developement are being carried out by the president(i mentioned a few),I want to use the knowledge i will get from the states to contribute positively to my nations developement and finally settle down with the girl i have always wanted to marry.(vo starts to laugh)

vo:do you know anyone in the united states?
me:no

vo:ok.when you get to the united states make sure the you contact the international admissions officer, her name is on your i20(still laughing).Good luck with your school and good luck with your marriage.Your visa has been approved.

me:thank you madam(I was excited but tried to remain calm, she hands me my documents and a small green card i will use to collect my visa after two business days.I hurriedly left the place).

And that was it guys.Just be confident, look smart, make sure you have a reasonable and logical answer to all documents and questions.Use a paper clip and seperate your documents, academics, financial, proof of ties and lastly work experience if applicable so you dont start looking for a particular document.try not to lie or carry fake documents,if you are caught lying you can be denied visa for life. Most importantly have a very positive attitude and I will see you in the united states.
