F1 Visa Rejected Twice, Requesting F1 Visa Tips..shared by a reader.
I was pursuing BS in EE from a university in US. I got my VISA for that university in aug 2008. When I was in US, I lost my passport.
I also changed my college & degree from BS to associates due to certain family circumstances.
In april 2011 I had to come back to India in the middle of semester because my father was seriously ill.
I had to get a new VISA to get back to US.
F1 Visa Rejected Twice
I applied for it in June two times. I got F1 Visa rejected twice.
First time, I went nervous and was completely unprepared because I was over-confident.
Second time, I was not able to satisfy the VO that I am not a potential immigrant.
In the first two interviews, my father was sponsoring my education. but this time a cousin is sponsoring me.
I was wondering if the VISA officer might be interested to know why my father is not sponsoring my education this time?
If he asks, my answer would be “Considering that my father is not well and my family might require huge amount of money suddenly for him, I thought it would be better if I seek sponsorship from someone else.
My cousin is well established here and he agreed to sponsor my education” Do you think this answer will be satisfactory in case he wanted to know the reason of my cousin sponsoring me?
I promise I will share my VISA interview experience with you guys this time… but please help me on this one first. My interview is on 16th march at Mumbai consulate.
F1 Visa Rejected
Maybe you need to consider sharing your F1 Visa interview experiences from First and Second Visa Interviews.

probably too late to reply since your interview was yesterday. Here is hoping that you were successful yesterday. I was denied twice 8 years ago but got it 7 months later for the third try. Here are my advice:
1. Doesn’t matter whether or not you changed schools. Eventhough I was rejected the second time because my CO said that my admission letter was fake (all bullsh*t reason), I remained with the same school and still got it.
2. Avoid using someone already in the US as your sponsor especially if that individual is from your native country or an immigrant citizen. This move indirectly defeats the “non-immigrant” intent of your application.
3. if your parents are unable to sponsor you, don’t be ashamed of that. Tell them why and why you have a new sponsor. Be assertive in making this point.
4. Emphasize your ties to your home country. If you have a family member of relative that has studied in the states, tell them that.
If you take advice 1-4 seriously, you have just enhanced your chances of getting an F1 visa a 100 fold. I have renewed mine several times with the same principles. I have also helped at least 7 close friends of mine with the same advice. If you need further guide, contact me by e-mail.
I too got rejected twice it was in Jun July 2009. I got my Visa for the third time. in Aug 2009. First two rejections are because of financial n potential immigrant reasons. I havent changed my university. Im from Texas A&M Univ-K. Third time she asked me only one question WHY US? confident enough answer fetched me my VISA. Good to try but, if you wont get it. Forget US for at least few years on any other VISA. Because 2 of my friends got rejected 5 times for F1. Its all Luck and Confidence.
Hi!
I don’t think anybody should help you out. Why should anybody help you out in HSB ?
Because you are in need of help ? or because of your promise about future interview experiences?
You give 5 % info in HSB and you wish that somebody should help you.
You did not specify
1. Your University/College
2. Your Major/Department
3. Your GPA
4. Your family circumstances
3. Your past visa interview experiences
4. Your profile and other such info about yourself.
If you ask me, don’t change consulate, but go for the same consulate for another interview.
If you have been rejected twice already, forget it. Don’t waste money applying again. Go for Australia ( most probably as a transfer student as from your inadequate information above, I am considering that you finished your freshman year in US )
Or else go for Canada. ( but I think you should be in US to be eligible for transfer from US )
You need to seek help from your University. ( your academic adviser )
I hope I was of some help to you. Thanks. Bye. Good luck.

( P.S.: Ask HSB about my details if you need to contact me. )
try to change the university when you appear for the visa second time. Apply with a better university.
I am in US and i tell u bro, if i wud have been in yr place I wud have thanked GOD tht my visa is rejected….no jobs no scholarships….this place sucks…
Didn’t you say you have money to pay for your fees and living expense? Did I say, only 30% of students get financial aid? If you had fantasies then USA sucks. If you know the reality, thihs place is awesome.
Dont be so harsh, hsb. Surely there were times when you felt a lot of despair in America. I know I did.
America offers freedom and opportunity like no other. But we are on our own here. India is still heavily influenced by leftist socialist mores and it is quite natural for Indian students to feel helpless at times in this country. It took me nearly 5 years to appreciate how America is a monument to the success of free enterprise. Its hard: on our own. But its also worth it. I didnt have a car and I used to walk nearly 5 miles a day (to and from school) and I hated it. But, I learned some fantastic lessons, lessons I could have never learned in India or with losers and welfare whores in Europe or Canada or Australia.
