hi…..
i got I20 from one univ for doing MS in this spring 2008 ….but still waiting for admission decision from the other universities in which i have a desire to do my MS in EE….my doubt is, as the visa dates are being blocked, can i use the sevis no. of the univ from which i received the I20 to block the date and later can i change the college name & sevis no. when i receive the I20 from other universities…is there any possibility of doing so….n doing that way will it effect my chances of getting visa…..plz…some one help me to find the answer for this….thanks in advance for ur time….
@ Sri,
Thanks for visiting Happy Schools. Yes, you can book he dates using the SEVIS # from the school you have admission and then update the Sevis # after you receive the I 20 from other school. It dosen’t have any impact on Visa.
Hi,
I have doubt on filling one question in my DS-156 and DS-157 visa forms. In these forms there was a question regarding the details of siblings to be mentioned. I have two siblings. Both of them are in US, one is doing MS and the other is a software engineer working in a US based firm. Some people are saying that if you mention both of your siblings are in US, the Visa officer may consider you as potential immigrant and your chances of getting visa might be less. Is it so? Or shall I mention about only one who is studying over there because if I mention that my brother is working, will they believe that if I say after graduation I will return to India, if at all a question about what are your plans after graduation is asked to me? what do i fill for that question? Any suggestions please…..Thanks in advance for your time.
With Regards,
Sri
I got a guestion concerning concerning Student visa i.e F-1 visa. I went for the interview on 19/11/07 and my visa was denied, I have again applied for the same and my interview is scheduled on 19/12/07. The VO rejected my visa and gave me a pink paper, any chances of making it this time round. Please advise.
Hello Sir,
This is Santosh Kumar, my F1 visa has been refused twice for fall 2007 intake, I am planning to give another trial for Spring 2008. I’ve one query, can I use the same Sevis Fee Receipt which I used for Fall 2007 intake? while attending for Spring 2008 intake?

hi,
My visa rejected for 1st time . Reason given was potential immigrant, i had only applied to 1 college n had only given TOEFL . so now im tryin for 2nd attempt but tell me 1 thing shall i maintion while registerin onsite that this is my 2nd attempt ( coz thrs a section online whr it asks “select this if visa rejected twice in last 6 months”
tell me wat 2 do as it is kind of urgent.
Yes you should mention that your Visa got rejected. They will know even if you don’t say and its like hiding the truth. you coud get potential ban from entering into U.S. for hiding the fact you got visa rejected.
Hi webmaster!
My F1 VISA is rejected on 30th May, 2008 and I have applied again and interview is on 9th June, 2008. VO asked only one question i.e. what will do after MS? I said I will come back and continue my job here in Pakistan. So rejected my VISA and She didnt even bother to look any of my documents.
Please advice me for the next time. It is urgent. Please do reply on my email
