I am trying to schedule an interview for my VISA stamping online. There is a personal information form that I need to fill up. My problem is I am not exactly sure what to put in for Company name and Present occupation.

My situation is like this. I am currently employed in a different company in my home country. I have not resigned yet since there's no guarantee that I will get a VISA stamp but I am hoping so much that I will get it!

So can you guys give me some advice on what to put in for present Company name? Do I put in my present local employer here in the Philippines or my US employer who applied for my H1B?

Please respond guys! I really need guidance here.

Thanks

Hi All,

I 'm putting together a project for my class at Michigan State University on how USCIS web site do not document or answer all immigration information (for example, search function on uscis.gov cannot retrieve specific answers to questions on new updates, change of status issues, visa expiration, getting a stamping from Canada/Mexico, visa extension, etc.) and as a result, we waste time, get insufficient information… While in the US we often rely on word of mouth, forums, lawyers, friends for answers on immigration questions, even USCIS support centre is not effective.

The FOCUS of my project is to highlight the communication gap in the system and how it affects the qualities of our lives during our stay in the country (please share your thought here). I think right documentation would've somewhat helped and prepared us to make right plans and let us do things we like to do. I think if USCIS site had case specific information, functional help lines, forums it would have made some difference. Any Suggestions???
The present system is similar to jumping into a pool and then learn swimming to find your way out.

I request you'll to share your stories with me, your experiences in terms of how in efficient communication makes life harder in the US.
Please share your stories: E-mail, videos, audios, image/picture, podcasts, anything at shampa.chatterjee@gmail.com and help me reach out to people.
