though I called the consulate some days back & they said it is in administrative processing..not sure how much long will it take or even get approved..

Ap-I am really glad to see your post. No reply at my end though I called Dos a couple of times and last time a lady told me that my visa was still under admin processing and the last update on my case was on 17 Aug. I am confused since then as I submitted my docs more than a month ago. Anyways I am still waiting as many other fellas, thanks a lot for your concern. One question though, can you please tell me that after how many days your husband got the visa after the clearance rcvd date?
You must be packing your stuff for travelling :)

any guys there with visa stamping experience at chennai consulate ??
one of the main points that I found before attending the interview is - to call the consulate and ask them whether PMIS data of our case is uploaded in theor system, only then you can go ahead ..
hope there are aimilar issues before attending the interview .please post your valuable comments here ...

Hi,
I am living in US and got my h1 approved in april. My husband in pakistan has applied through american express on Jul 23rd. It's been almost three months and we still have not even recieved a call from embassy yet. I am a little worried whats taking so long. I have not seen him for two years since i dont have a visa stamped on my passport. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the interview call?
Also, can anyone tell me how and where can i apply in canada to get the US visa? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Posted 1 month ago # -
Hello...i applied for H-4 visa in November 2008,had my interview on November 11th 08,she asked me a few general questions about my marriage and my husband's employer,my interview i guess last for 5-7 minutes and then issued me the visa and i got my passport back after a week mashallah :)
