I know couple of HSB readers who didn’t receive confirmation about test centers being closed. When they showed up at test center on the test day, there was no test center.

Prometric and ETS have now opened online registration for appointments in their new testing locations in Bangalore, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Trivandrum.
Individuals who had pre-existing appointments to take the GRE revised General Test in these cities in January and February 2013 have been sent a confirmation email with their rescheduled appointment details. Individuals who have additional questions should contact Prometric at 91-124-4147700 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. IST Monday–Friday.

Hi Moulika, Start preparing for the standardized tests GRE and TOEFL. You have great academic scores. High scores on these tests will help you get admissions in some of the top ranked US Universities. As you are placed with TCS, you can work for some time and can consider applying for Fall of 2014. I have been following your blog when i started thinking of GRE.
I came to know many things especially “Even a middle class student can fly to U.S”. I reviewed each and every post of you.
I scheduled GRE on March 13th (Fall 2013) but because of my schedule (presently working for an upcoming company) i couldn’t give my best for preparation . So, I want to reschedule my test for Spring 2014.
Could you suggest me when is the best time to reschedule my test.

We are happy to know, HSB has been a great help to you. For admissions in Spring 2014 it is best to take GRE by June as you will come across many Universities with application deadlines July onwards.
