Most graduate programs I have seen doesn’t require GRE Subject test.
But, I have seen Graduate admission in Psychology require GRE Subject Psychology test (for MS and PhD).
Also, few PhD programs for Computer Science requires GRE Computer Science test.
If your academic profile doesn’t reflect your true potential, then you can take GRE subject test to strengthen the college admission application.

HOW TO MEET DEADLINES?
I will be taking the computer science subject test on 10th november, but the earliest date for online (and through phone) score viewing is 10th december, let alone actual score report reception by the colleges, for which you can add a week or two, more. Now how am I supposed to manage the deadline of colleges which are in early december, and the colleges that offer rolling based admission?
Also, could someone please suggest some good preparation and practise material for the computer science subject test?
You don’t have to submit the scores by deadline in most cases. Application and fees has to be there by the deadline.

Could you please share some information on the preparation and practise material, because everywhere I search for GRE, it’s almost always about the general test.
That is always diffucult to procure since ETS doesn’t give away Question Papers. They do, however, have a sample paper on their site. You should study B.S. level according to the ETS prescribed curriculum. Ask your seniors who have given this test, for more. It may otherwise be difficult to find information elsewhere. Good Luck.
