My Company has applied for my H1B. What will be the visa duration when my Visa gets stamper. As per as my knowledge its 3yrs hence it has to be from Oct 2010 to Sep 2013.

But one of my colleague who had his visa in oct 2009 quota(applied in Dec 2009), has recently got the visa stamped with visa duration as Feb 2010 to June 2011.

Can any one please throw some light on this issue.

Hi,

My company will be filing H1B VISA for me this Financial year (FY2011). How good are the chances this time for successfull processing of VISAs without any lottery?

Thanks.

this is time very few companies are filing h1b so there are rare chances for lottery, whoever files H1b this year, will surely get stamped.

I think Arun has a query for oct 2011 quota and not oct 2010 quota.
As per me, there are rare chances that visa slots get over in first 5 working days starting 1st april 2011 for oct2011.
Even oct 2010 slots are still 2/3 avalbl. Though this count is now picking up.

I feel it should not be a prblm in april 2011 if u can get your visa applied by first 5 working days. There is a common lottery for all candidates who’s application reach in first 5 working days, here 65K will be a big count to fill in.
