Hello,
First of all, your website is an extremely useful resource, and I would like to commend you for this.
Secondly, I would like to ask about your predictions for the H1B cap exhaustion date. From your YouTube video, I see how you predict (based on the current trend) that the cap will be exhausted by late-June. At the same time, the comment by Rushika above says, “This year H1B is very slow in being filled up compared to the last few years, if I’m not wrong. You should be thankful for that.”.
The regular cap is already at 42,000 as of 18 May, compared to about 13,000 in May 2011 (for 2012 H1B cap) and 20,000 for May 2010 (for 2011 H1B cap). My immigration lawyer previously suggested filing the application in November/December (to allow us to move to the US in June/July 2013) but this looks rather infeasible now based on the figures.
Any comment?
Hi i applied H1B through my consultancy, my application is submited to USCIS 20 days back till now i did’t received any Receipt Number. How many days will take to get Receipt Number
It typically takes 3-4 weeks for I-797 to arrive by mail. Hopefully you should get it in the upcoming week.
Hi
Thank you for updating the H1b cap status. I am currently in US on F2. I am not very well versed with H1b process and I have a question here.
My employer filed my H1B visa change of status on May 10 2012 under Masters regular processing. We have not yet received any receipt from USCIS.
I was a bit concerned on the rate at which the H1B visa cap is getting exhausted and I was wondering if my H1B visa application has been already counted towards these 16,000 applications? I am worried that probably till they reach on my application the cap might get exhausted.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thank you
Ritika
