H1B Receipt Number, EAC – Pending; WAC – Approved

in H1B Visa

Another rumor/myth to find the status of H1B Visa Petition status by comparing the receipt numbers. Comment –

I have the same problem. When I give receipt number, starting with EAC it says pending. If I give the same number starting with WAC, it says approval sent. Any idea?

Receipt Numbers – EAC, WAC, LIN, SRC

If you are given a receipt number, just follow that. When a number is unique, it means there will not be other overlapping petition for that number.  We are not seeing the above comment for the first time. Atleast 3-4 times we have seen similar comments.

Atleast they can put in effort to find what is the difference between Receipt numbers starting letters. In any case you get to learn one more thing today.

  1. Just follow your receipt numbers
  2. Each person’s H1B Petition is unique
  3. Receipt Number adjacent to your number might be for H1B Transfer or for H1B Extension, …
  4. Read the Difference between EAC, WAC, LIN and SRC
  5. Comparing approval status based on UNIQUE Receipt numbers starting with EAC, WAC or adjacent numbers shows ignorance.
  6. Do read the comment on H1 Receipt Number posted by  starspangledbanner

Hi all, Please help me if you can. I have received the I-129 receipt number but when I go to link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do to get to know the status, it says ‘Your case can not be found..’ I tried more than ten times since I received the receipt which a week back.

Can anyone tell me what does that mean? Appreciate your help on this.

Hi HSB,I need your urgent attention…I checked my case stat and it reads… Fee Payment Rejected due to Insufficient Funds and Case Placed in Suspense..will it affect my case’s approval???? will it get denied because of that….I hope it gets approved inspite of the trouble encountered.

I’m not even receiving my H1-b receipt number. I’m applying through regular cap, and I’ve been waiting and waiting. No news, now updade, no nothing. Wondering is that normal?
