Many comments written in last 3 days and almost all the comments were about USCIS H1B Visa 2009 Receipt Number or Lottery Results. I have written about H1B Visa 2009 Lottery in-detail in many articles. I would recommend you to read all the articles in my blog about H1B Visa. It will give you clear idea about H1B Visa selection process and many other details. Most of the comments are asking for “When will I know about Receipt Number for H1B Visa“.
Couple of my friends didn’t get Receipt number, but their check for H1B Visa fees have been cleared by USCIS. So, its their assumption that they have been selected under Random Lottery process and I too agree with their assumption. But, they haven’t received USCIS H1B Visa Receipt number yet. USCIS have clearly indicated about June/2/2008 date to send all the H1B Visa 2009 receipt numbers. It’ too early to say if your H1B Visa application is selected or not.

last week my const’s told me my cheque is cleared which is given to USICS BUT i am not able to get receipt number yet so anybody will sugest i am selected or not or i have to wait

If a receipt number was received, does it mean my H1B visa being accepted?
My Employer sent me an email on 16th May 2008 as follows :
“I just received notice of your H-1B petition. Your petition was selected via random lottery for an H-1B number and will be processed. We should have an update on the processing in about two(2)months (approx. July-August).At that time, you can start the process of obtaining your entry visa from the US Consulate your country”
Can I take the above email for granted that I will surely be getting H1B visa. Will anyone explain this?
