in H1B Visa

Sandeep and Satish are frequent visitors of Happy Schools Blog and Congrats to them – H1B Visa Lottery Selection. H1B Visa lottery for year 2008- 2009 was completed during second week of April, since then everyone who have applied for H1B Visa is waiting to hear if their H1B Visa application is selected in lottery. But, its good to see that results are coming up for H1B Visa submitted through regular H1B visa processing.

Sandeep:

My employer said that your application has been selected because he got to know that fee check for my application has been cleared and waiting for receipt within a week. Does this means that my application has been selected?

Satish:

I came to know through my consultant, that my application was picked up in lottery. And they told the cheque attached to my application was debited that means my application was picked up. They also informed that it will take time to get the receipt number may be by june2nd.So every one make sure whether u are selected or not.

Dear All,

how is visa stamping going on. I have got approved for H1B visa last year tat is 2007 -2008. I was put on hold for stamping because of recession. I would like to know if this is the right time to go for H1B visa Stamping. Is there any possibilty of getting rejected.

Please let me know..
Congrats to all who got approved.

I am from STEM (as I am sure most here are) major working. Working on OPT for a start up on west coast. Graduated from reputed east coast university. I convinced my company for E verify (to get 17 month extension beyond 12 months = 29 months) and they registered and got it activated clearing mandatory website test. Getting job itself is challenging. H1B is next! Are there any chances that my company can still file for H1 in this years quota? Thanks!
