I wanted to change my visa status to F1 after getting admission. Can you please suggest me some universities based on TOEFL scores. Overall my Ranking is 7 th out of 48 . My Cgpa is 7.7 out 10. Topper CGPA is 8.7 out 10.
Have published two research papers and curently working on two more.
Done offshore project for seweden company as summer project. Done collaborative project with university of wisconsin eua claire and university of nebraska students.
Have SCJP 1.6 certification
Volunteered several events in college.
Participated in some events in college.
Have strong minor and major project related my area of interest i.e distributed systems,networks and databases.
What u say about my chances and what much should i score to get into these top universities?

i have received the I20 from Rochester Institute of Technology but i think there is a error in my I20 as it is mentioned in the 3rd point of my I20 that reprint reason damaged, as I’m deferred for fall 2011 from spring 2011, as sevis no is same which was mentioned on my previous I20 but why it is mentioned reprint reason damaged I’m bit worried about it as one of my friend also get the I20 from the same university but there is no such thing like Reprint reason on his I20 as we both are deferred.. can anyone please help me why the reprint reason damaged is mentioned on my I20.

one in MGH institute of health sciences( ranked7th),University of PIttsburgh(ranked 1st) and LOma Linda ranked 95th .the first two unis have awesome courses but are very very costly goin up to $50,000 and more without any aid. while other comes up to 35000 again without aid so just wanted to know which one to go for???M really confused HSB plz help.

I closely followed this blog and helped my daughter to select universities that would exactly fit her profile.She applied to 7 universities for MS Computer Science for Fall 2011. So far she has got admit from
three namely UNCC, Texas Tech and UTA. TAMUK is in the pipeline sending mails stating that she is eligible for merit scholarship. But she has not submitted her supplemental documents to this university. She scored only 1110 in GRE, 104 in Toefl. Over 80% from Anna university. Instead of applying to many dream universities, she applied to reach and safe universities to increase her chances of admission. I am grateful to this wonderful blog. Thank you once again.

I secured 1070 in gre and toefl is on mar 12.. i can easily manage 85+ in toefl
i secured 80.6% in bsc computer maint and engg, which is a 3 yr degree.. my college is ranked as A+. i received awards for academic excellence and i did project on "VIRTUAL HOSTING ON IIS 7.0" which fetched me 287/300.
i worked in cognizant for a period of 5 months as process executive..
i completed my intermediate in 1998 and i persued my undergraduation during 2007-2010. I joined my family business after intermediate, i-e in 1999.

"FIT" I SUPPOSE
I would like to advice people not to go to Texas A & M University, College Station, TX for doing Masters or Ph.D. programs. One reason is that it is next to impossible to get any funding especially in Engineering programs. They give admission to students, professors try to extract free research work from students by false promise of funding next semester, next year and it never comes. About job fair/career fair, company representatives openly say that they do not recruit international students. It is a very conservative and boring town. Avoid this university.
