I spent about a week using the HP 4 Envy Ultrabook and I’m very impressed with its performance, weight and sound quality.

You are looking at $800 price tag for this Ultrabook.
Most of students coming for Fall 2012 will buy a new a laptop. I have always recommend to stay way from $400 laptops for students use. Try to buy something above $700.
HP Envy 4 -1030us 14-inch Ultrabook is definitely a good choice.
Performance
Ultrabook boots up pretty fast. Why?
Because there is a SSD (Intel Rapid Start Technology) with Operating System for faster boot time.
I know how students handle laptop during school days. Hp Envy 4-1030us is designed to take a beating for a typical student use.

HP Envy 4 – Chassis
With 3.86 lbs, aluminum body gives great feel to hold the system.
Front tip of the opening lid is plastic. Not sure why Aluminum case was not extended for the entire top part.
Ultrabook I received has brushed black aluminum top.
Base part of the laptop has a rubbery texture with bright red in color. Rubbery base provided good grip when holding the laptop.
Brushed Aluminum combined bright read base, give this Ultrabook a stunning look.
There is a small HP Logo – On top side.

Beats Audio with speaker and sub-woofer packs a punch. Amazing. I have used several laptops and HP’s audio, speakers are always much better.
Screen Size is 14.0-inch diagonal with HD BrightView LED-backlit display with max resolution of 1366 x 768. It has glossy look with stunning display.
Keyboard is easy to use and there is good spacing between keys.
I love back-lit keyboard.
You will realize the need for back-lit keyboard, when you are working in the dark.
It doesn’t have a CD/DVD ROM drive.
Built-in webcam is of good quality. I don’t think its an HD camera, but definitely good quality to chat with your family and friends.

HP Envy 4 – 1030US 14 Inch Ultrabook is well-built, sleek and strong laptop for less than $900.
There are several other ultrabook models in the market, but this is probably the cheapest among other available ultrabooks.

The present trend is looking for a lighter, smaller and sophisticated models and hp has got the one which is the exact fit

I am currently doing MS in EE my biggest problem is that i run out of battery when using my laptop and the one which i have is so heavy its not easy to carry around i will replace this if i win Hewlett-Packard Envy 4-1030us.
I like Hewlett-Packard Envy 4-1030us coz it has all the features that i am looking for great battery life and it weighs very less.
After 3years of use my current laptop is at its end. So, I was thinking of buying another one. It has to be relatively cheap, small in size for carrying it around and a fast processor. Hewlett-Packard Envy 4-1030us fits the bill perfectly.
Also it has SSD which means fast booting, 3.0 USB for faster data transfer and long battery life. And last but not the least, it has a classy sleek look.
If I win the ultrabook, I will give it to my daughter, because I begged her to give her laptop to a University final year student who did not have a laptop, but needed one desperately for her project, which she agreed to do. My younger sister, my dad, or I can’t always go on the internet when we want to because there are only two computers in the house (the family computer and my computer). Getting this computer will reduce that bit of tension in our family, haha. My sister would like a computer of her own, and this laptop would be a great one for her to use with regularity. It will also be great for chatting with my other sisters who live across the country.
I like this computer because it has a fast hard drive with lots of storage (very nice for storing the recordings I make, as well as music I listen to) and, even more important, it is a Hewlett Packard. I’ve been very pleased with my Hewlett Packard laptop and *every* Hewlett Packard I’ve ever seen. They always work the most smoothly. They don’t give you problems, and that’s what you want in a machine. Computers that give you trouble are so frustrating; I’d rather do without that. So I’d be very happy to win this nice HP laptop.

I have a lappy of hp brand. I have been using it for 4 years. It is awesome. I want to try this new model as it has amazing features, have a sleek look and is impressive. Intel’s Ultrabook concept is purely an amazing thing but with HP its adds up with seven stars. Talking about specs, they are just awesome and definitely it gives a strong competition to its rival MACBOOK AIR. I believe nothing can be as perfect as HP Envy 4 and if there will be something more better then it will definitely from HP again. If I win this HP notebook I will be using it for all its amazingness. As I am a student it will be really awesome to have a Envy in my bag because I don’t have to think of charging my laptop’s battery everywhere and the light weight will again make it a perfect choice.
