Why IIT C ?
IPRO – IIT C share the same belief held by many organizations: “It takes a team!” It is the mission of the IPRO Program at IIT C to foster knowledge, develop competency, and enrich the experience of all our students to work effectively in diverse teams.
Our Graduates invented and developed technologies and products such as the cellular phone, magnetic recording, the first nuclear reactor for industrial research, the Pentium processor, and even electro-optical night vision equipment.

IIT India Operations
Through IIT Online, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago offers to (distance learning) students in India a wide array of programs and courses .
IIT-Chicago offers a few Master’s Degree & Certificate Programs offered in India as offered in Campus.
- Eligibility: For admission into master’s program, First Class in Engineering, BE/Btech/M.Sc in relevant discipline or MCA & GRE is required. (One can commence Master’s Program without GRE but continue with second semester studies only after completing GRE successfully. TOEFL is NOT required. For Certificate programsGRE and TOEFL are NOT required.
- Teaching Methodology: Classroom teaching from IIT Chicago through streamed Video via Internet is made available to students in India section. Assignments, Project and Exams are the same as for Campus students and are evaluated at Chicago. Distance and non-distance students even use the same course space in Blackboard, our learning management system.

- Degree – Same degree as awarded in the campus.
- Remember: There are no IIT Online students; there are only IIT students who take their courses and programs online.
- Hybrid Option: In any of the Master’s programs offered online, admitted students may also begin their studies in India and complete their Studies in the USA.
- Duration : Two Years (maximum six yrs)
- Admission: Fall (Aug-Dec) Application last Date 1st May, Spring (Jan-May) Application last Date 15th Oct.
- Fee : IIT Online programs have an extraordinary cost-benefit ratio.
