Job Description:
The coop/intern works with the software development team responsible for creating new Network Attached Storage (NAS) platforms. Tasks cover a wide range from setting up hardware and testing software installations and procedures, verifying RAID arrays inter operate correctly with the NAS software.
Student will have hands on access to a large lab that includes SAN switches, Fibre Channel Analyzers, storage arrays, and NAS systems. Some of the work is independent and manual, while other tasks involve working closely with OS developers on new prototype systems. Over time we are looking to automate the manual testing, giving the student an opportunity to write code or develop new procedures.
Requirements:
+ Graduate or Undergraduate students studying Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
+ Two Semesters or more Full Time or Part Time while going to school.
+ Must be comfortable working with hardware, such as building or repairing PCs
+ Experience with installing operating systems — especially Linux is desired.
