Raghuram Sukumar —  June 19, 2012 — Leave a comment

Kaplan published 2 GRE 2013 book this June.

  1. Kaplan GRE Premier 2013 Book  with  5 Online Practice Tests + DVD
  2. Kaplan GRE: Strategies, Practice and Review 2013 with Online Practice Test

I’m trying to find the difference between the 2 books.

About – Kaplan GRE Premier 2013

Kaplan GRE Premier 2013Kaplan 2013 GRE Premier with 5 Computer Adaptive Practice Tests + DVD features:

  • 6 full-length practice tests (5 realistic computer adaptive tests and 1 in the book)
  • 1300+ questions with detailed explanations

  • Download a digital copy of this book to your iPad
  • DVD on stress management and study planning

Kaplan GRE: Strategies, Practice and Review 2013 with Online Practice Test

  • 2 full-length practice tests (1 full-length computer-adaptive tests and 1 in the book)
  • 450+ questions with detailed explanations
  • Paperback: 576 pages

  • Proven score-raising strategies from Kaplan experts
  • Practice sets for the Quantitative and Verbal sections of the test
  • Diagnostic tools for targeted practice

Which Kaplan GRE 2013 Book?

I would prefer Kaplan GRE Premier 2013 Book  with  5 Online Practice Tests + DVD because

  • DVD
  • Additional GRE Practice Tests
  • More questions.

I haven’t looked in detail, but I have to assume that with same number of pages in both the books, test prep strategies should be the same.

But, the access to 4 more tests and 1300+ GRE practice questions gives advantage for Kaplan GRE Premier 2013.

Kaplan GRE 2013 books alone might not be sufficent depending on your skills and target score.
