In-flight you will be given 2 forms. One for US Customs and one for Immigration. Immigration form will have I-94 attached to it. You will need to fill out both the forms.

You must have seen in applications that would say ‘Print Name here’.  Write your name using the pen. It’s good to carry one or 2 ball pen with you.

Immigration Office

Make sure you have an address where you will stay after you enter into US. If you are not sure about an address, you can give your International Office address, later after finding your own place to stay, make sure to update your address using AR-11 Form (online or mail). When you move to different address, make sure you update the address using the AR -11 Form.

In the Customs form you will be asked to fill out detail about what things you are carrying with you, how much money, etc.

US Customs

Immigration officer will take your passport, I-20, Customs and Immigration form and ask you few questions. After you clear the Immigration, go to baggage claim area, pick up your bags and walk over to the customs officer and handover the Customs form and clear the Customs. If customs officer has any doubts, they can open you bags to check.

After clearing US Customs, you can either continue to next flight or walk out of the airport. That’s it, you are in United States of America.

Sir, I booked a ticket in Air India flight. I plan to carry some sweets for my relatives there. Do I need to declare that I carry some eatables? Will declaring that I have no eatables trouble me?
Also in the flight ticket I got for a travel agency does not show thwe complete itenary. On requesting them for the same I was sent the soft copy of the ticket I was issued. Is there any other way to know my itenary?

Printing in this context indicates that you should write in block letters as opposed to cursive. This is so that whatever you put down is legible.

Print Name means

If its online form : Use key board to type the name

If its paper , write your name using pen.
