hi, i am anandh, i have taken my gre and toefl, gre score 1220 (680+540 v;3.0) and toefl score awaiting. i would like to know the universities/institutes that have the application fee to be LESS than 40$ for PhD in Biological sciences program (molecular biology, biochemistry, developmental biology). this would be of great help…thank u in advance.
You have to select Universities that have lower fees, not Universities have have low application process. Will you be comfortable to apply to universities where you cannot get financial aid or part time jobs, with low application fee? Think!

Hello! I’m glad to receive and give opportunity to ask question here at happy school blog. My H1b visa was recenntly approved by USCIS. First they issued rfe, my empployer told me that I need to give a visa screen, then all of the sudden they apprroved my petition without visa screen. I’m wondering, if there is possibility to reject my visa if I go to embassy for visa stamping. I’m little confuse with my situation. Please enlighten me.
H1B Visa approval and H1B Visa stamping are two different entities. Don’t confuse approval with H1B stamping.

I have completed my B.Pharm from pune university. My profile is as follows:
1)GRE Score:1140
2)TOEFL Score:97
3)B.Pharm:throughout first class with distinction
4)12 th boards:81.0 %
5)10 th CBSE board:75.0%
I am planning to go for M.S/Phd in pharmaceutics. Can i get admission with this score? or should i give gre once again?please suggest..
GRE Score 1140 is enough to get admission, if you feel confident that you can improve your score above 1250, retake GRE, else apply with same score. It’s not required to do MS and PhD. You can apply directly to PhD. Admission to PhD is much different than Masters. You can learn more about admission to PhD in Premium Membership Club.

another point “It seems like universities are generally counted together with colleges. So here is the answer from the Association of American Colleges and Universities. It says there are two thousand six hundred eighteen accredited four-year colleges and universities. Most operate privately or as part of state governments.
Now we have a question of our own. Just what exactly does it mean if a school is accredited?
Accreditation is a process designed to guarantee that the education provided by a school meets accepted levels of quality. In the United States, this process involves both government agencies and private groups called accrediting agencies.
The United States Department of Education does not accredit schools. But the law requires the secretary of education to publish a list of accrediting agencies recognized as dependable.
Accrediting agencies develop educational goals. Then they examine schools to make sure those goals are met.
The first step in the process is for a college or university to request accreditation. Then the school does a study of itself to measure its performance against the requirements.
The accrediting agency sends a team of experts to decide if the school meets the standards. The agency will observe an accredited college or university every few years.
Schools must be accredited for students to receive government financial aid. Accreditation also makes it easier for students to move credits from one school to another. Going to an accredited school can also make it easier for students to get a good job.
There is a group called the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. It has a Web site where students can learn if a school or program is accredited by a recognized United States organization. The address is chea.org. Again, c-h-e-a dot org.
you are welcome

my query
my son is studying smart for his GRE AND TOEFL,he has a deep desire to pursue his M.S OR M.E Mech , robotics and mechatronics in a good university in usa.
i have been searching in the google for this purpose.and found MIT very appealing. When i saw the Tuition fees per year US$ 37000 /year then if you include his accomadation, food, books, and other expenses it will work out to us$57000/per year.
so i wrote a mail to MIT The counselor
Scholarships and Grants
MIT- Student Financial Services
they have replied this
We apologize for the mistake here. As a graduate student, we can help your son with private loans. However, we do not offer any sort of scholarship or grant money for graduate students through the financial aid office. It would be best to contact the individual department he is interested in to determine whether they have any scholarships or assistantships available. You can refer to the following website for more information about international graduate students: http://web.mit.edu/sfs/financial_aid/graduate_Intl_09_10.html
In order to determine his loan eligibility, he will need to complete the Graduate Loan Application: http://web.mit.edu/sfs/forms_and_publications/form_pdfs/09-10_GLA.pdf

now i can understand that Loan means we have to pay back the money that is used by the prospective student.in case it is granted.
i am told by some of my well informed friends that the loan will carry an 4.2 % interest.
how the MIT will finance i do not know
my mind rambling is this
on what basis they (MIT) will give loan
what security they will ask
from a student
apparently my son is from india
and i can not give my agricultural land as a collotral security to the MIT for loan amount
in what trust the educational University MIT will provide loan to my son for his needs.
though at the moment it looks like we can some how bear about 30 to 40 % of the total cost per 2 year
it looks like a dream run
please guide me further
on some good universities that are reachable for the Indian farmer son need.
thank you for your time in sharing your precious time
this blog is quite informative and quick responses to the input is quite amazing.
thanks
