RFE H1B Visa – Is my H1B Visa Rejected?

by HSB on July 25, 2008

in H1B Visa

If H1B Online Visa status shows RFE- Does that mean my H1B Visa is rejected? No, its not. You still have one last chance to prove your case is valid.

But, all the work has to be done by the attorney, if they need more information, I’m sure they will get in touch.

Many of them have asked about RFE in the comments section How do I know if my H1B Case is selected or not?

What is REF?

RFE stands for Request for Evidence. USCIS sends RFE H1B when

  • More information about H1B applications submitted.
  • Documents provided is not sufficient
  • If some documents or missing
  • educational evaluation
  • documents supporting the exceptional abilities
  • And few more..

Is my Case Denied when I get RFE?

No, if they were to deny it, then I believe USCIS will not send RFE, they could have sent H1B Rejection notice.

How much Time I have before I can respond?

I’m not sure about that, check with your attorney. They will know how to handle RFE case.

Hi thr! Can you write a post which describes the advantages of taking up an MS degree in US in comparison to working in a reputed software firm in India? What will be the average time period in which we can recover the money we invested in US education? And generally what percentage of ppl who go to study MS will find a job after graduation in US? It would be of great help if you can answer my queries.

hi,
it all depends on your skills to get the job quicker u can, urs is a subjective question. You might have to invest initial 2 semesters fees form ur pocket, if ur school has provision for internship and if u get one u can recover all ur invested money + fees for remaining semesters and more by the end of the year of internship, then any money u make is a plus.
Bottom line is how good are u in searching for a job right from the start of your MS.
Also some people get GA(graduate assistant ship)which help them pay their fees, but there’s nothing like getting intership or co-op.
Thanks
