I was talking about Aid in my previous post. Lets talk about Part time jobs. If you don’t get any form of aid, you could get a part time job within the school campus. You cannot work outside the school campus.
International students can work 20 hours per week. Pay usually varies from $6 to $15 per hour. That will pay you for cost of living ( partly if you live in cities like LA, NY..)
Usually, students will get to work in lab’s ( maintaining printers, installing software’s,..), library, canteen, and so many other types of work within campus.
How easy is to get a part time job? Trust me, there are schools where you don’t get aid/part time jobs for your entire coursework. I will talk about how student survive without any income.
Few schools like Indiana University, Bloomington, University of Southern California, Clemson University and many others have lots of part time jobs.
So, it very important to find out schools that has part time jobs available, if not aid. Here’s list of Universities for various GRE Score Ranges and departments.

I have a doubt regarding the off campus jobs..You mentioned that International students can only do part time jobs.Wat about the off-campus jobs. How can we find them and what all the issues involved in it?
Its illegal to work outside campus. Students who work outside are taking risk. If International Student Officer finds out, you might get deported back to India. Those who work outside are for low wages and they get paid in cash, so there will not be any traces of check issued, so the employer will not be in trouble.
I have written article on Finding part time jobs. Check that out.
