You read it right. Take reading and listening proficiency tests and ALTA Language Services will pay you $50. You need to apply to be qualified to take the test.Jon from ALTA contacted HSB to pass this information to the readers.
How Do I qualify?
- Ideal candidates will be university students with current (within the last year) TOEFL scores starting at 200 for the computer-based TOEFL, 533 for the paper-based TOEFL, and 15 for the internet-based TOEFL.
- You should not be native speakers of the language, but rather speakers who have either been taking ESL courses or learning the language through self-study.
ALTA will pay each test-taker a flat rate of $50 to complete both the reading and listening tests. After taking the tests, we will ask you to complete a short survey about your experience taking the test. All information will be kept confidential.

If this describes you, a student of yours, or a colleague, please get in touch with project director Jocelyn Echevarria via jechevarria@altalang.com with the following info:
* Your Name and Contact information
* Your TOEFL Scores for each section as well as overall
* The date you took the exam
* What version of the exam you took
Yes, it is that simple. Why miss a chance for you to earn $50. If you live outside US, ALTA will either send payment through Paypal or check will be mailed to your address.
