US Consulate Hyderabad to Issue Visas from March 2009

US Consulate in Hyderabad was opened in Dec 2008, but no visas have been issued yet. From what I read, 100 visas per day will be issued within 60 days from now. So, before March end visa will be issued. But, initially only B1/B2 visa will be issued and then expanding to other Visa types like F1, H1B, … Here’s the excerpt from Murthy.com

….. The most up-to-date information available, according to Vice Consul Lane, is that the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad will begin accepting visa applications in 60 days. He also reported that this new consulate initially expects to interview approximately 100 visa applicants per day. These applications will first be limited to those for more common visas, such as B-1/B-2 visitor visas, and will slowly expand to other categories of visas. No timeframe was given for the expansion to other visas …..

I was applied B1 visa on January2009 in Chennai but they rejected me. Can i apply again for B1 visa in Hyderabad.
