Hello, i want to apply for an F1 visa but but both my parents passed away when i was young. Can i use my cousin’s pay slip who is my sponser

Relatives as Sponsor F1 Visa

Yes, you can use your relatives to sponsor for F1 Visa. In order to have our Cousin sponsor your education, you have to do the following

  1. Apply for admission and list your cousin as sponsor in Financial Affidavit.
  2. Get bank statement using the money from your cousin’s account.
  3. You will receive I-20 with your cousin as sponsor education while you are in USA.
  4. Use that for F1 Student Visa Interview.

Many studetns go to US wiht their relatives sponsors,l when their parents cannot afford to pay the money ( or have enough money) to show in bank statement. Good luck to you.

Sandeep, you should still be fine, that should not be a problem as long as you are providing them with correct documentation.

Hi,

I m a fall 2010 applicant. To receive I20 from the university I have specified that my aunt and brother are the sponsors instead of specifying aunt and cousin. What do i do? Will that be a problem?
