I had couple of Scraps in my Orkut Scrapbook and the question was ” My Visa was rejected before through emergency slot visa appointment booking, can I appear for visa again through emergency Slot, since regular slots are not available”. first of all you need to understand the difference between Emergency Appointment and Visa Rejection,
I got the following statement from VFS Webpage.
Students or exchange visitors who are within 120 days of their start date of a valid program and who have not been refused a visa within the last six months.
But, I’m sure, getting visa rejected has got nothing to do with your emergency slot. Both are two different things. Visa is decided by the VO based on the interview process and Emergency appointment is merely a way to get the interview slot.
But, appearing for third time is absolutely not a problem, but if its within 6 months of previous visa rejection, I guess you have to wait for regular slot. To validate my information, its better to call VFS and talk to them. They are better person to answer this question. Good Luck with your Visa. Do, follow the tips I have said in my previous post about F1 Visa Tips and I have personally few of my friends who got F1 Visa 3rd and 4th appearance for interview. So, believe in yourself. Express in your face that your are confident when appearing for student visa after Vida denial for first or second attempt.
If you are going for 3rd time Visa Interview, and if you display the attitude of ” I already got rejected twice, let me try one last time without hope” then you will have very less chance to get Visa.
I would think and re-think each and every word you spoke during previous Visa Interview and see what was that few words that you are Visa Officer said, got your Visa Denied and make sure you don’t make that mistake again. And they will know the reason for denial, and you should have strong answer to explain why you are still valid candidate to study in U.S.
Example: One of my friend appeared for F1 Visa 3rd Time and she was asked
“What would you do, if you don’t get Visa this time”?
Her Response: ” I’m very much interested to pursue Master’s Degree, If I don’t go to U.S. to study, I’m going to spend the same money in U.K or in Australia”
So, you can see from her reply, that how interested she was in studying and her willingness to spend to get Education Abroad. Its her confidence got her Visa in 3rd attempt.

I have got admits in 4 universities for M S in CS and I am now preparing for VISA. Now, that I have already completed Master’s(M.Tech in CS) in India will it cause problem during VISA interview process?
What answers should I provide them to convince that I am interested in doing masters in particular stream and I am interested to go for research.
Will they ask why I want to do second master’s in USA or will they straight away reject me for applying for a second master’s?
Help needed.

Iam chaitanya,wanted to pursue MS for fall,09.Got I-20′s from only one university now,FDU(NJ).I may get admits from other 2 within few weeks.I need to know if I had to definitely show liquid assests greater than my 1st year expenses or it is sufficient to show sponserer’s income and Bank loans and other non-liquid assets during VISA interview.Because I may not show bank balances to bear my complete expenses…
Hello everybody i was rejected on 27th nov for 1st time. i don’t know the reason why he rejected me . only he asked why this university? sponsors? wht u have done till after completing ur graduation ? wht is ur mother do ? silbings ?
that’s it he didn’t asked me abt my documents of bank saving A/c , loan, CA,CE statements. but he gave me 214b but he didn’t informed me any reason in that . can any body tell me if VO asks me why u have rejected wht can i say ? please tell me as soon as possible thank you in advance

and am showing bank bal Rs 15lacs i.e $37500,and education loan of 10lacs i.e $25000 and postal savings of 10 lacs and for the first time to the second time i had made transactions of 3.5lacs he saw it he asked how it came and with out listening to me refused my visa .so wat i need to do for this third time to get visa.

By now you should have know, Visa is not in our hands sometimes. I want to know how much is the total 1 year expense listed in I-20. Only then I can say if thats enough.

I got rejected twice for the US F1visa and i have interviewed by the same officer both times as far as i know got rejected and given a form 214b in that he marked that am unable to cover the first year expences and and i went with my doc’s in which i hve shown Rs.15 lacs liquid i.e bank blance and Rs.10 lacs of loan and parents annual income is around 15 lacs he just glanced at my pass book both the times and rejected and i want to attept for the third time my profile is 58%in b.tech(8 back lags),Gre-1000,toefl-78 completed btech in 2006.and mostly am going in dec third week, can you please rate my chances and tell me how much money i need to show this time.plz tell me.thank you.
